HAPPY NEW YEAR, UNHAPPY CENTENARY.

      New Year's Day, 100 yrs. ago, marks Australia's first terrorist attack by Muslims, as mentioned in my book, The Sable Provenance. Two Indian nationals attacked a train out of Broken Hill, killing 4 and injuring 7. They were shot dead by police. Islamic terrorists?? Yes, notes were found in their pockets attributing their actions to the glory of Allah. This was very close to the murder of my grandmother by Muslim radical students from the dental school in Banda Aceh [the town almost wiped out by the 2004 tsunami]. Lets pray for a peace-filled year ahead on our streets, in our homes and on the roads.

CURED...AND I DIDN'T DIE.

    Lump of pork. Totally encase in cooking salt for 2 weeks. Wash and dry. Soak in water, vinegar, desired spices esp. cayenne for a week or two. Wash and dry. All previous storage to be at around 12deg. Store to dry out a week. EAT. No preservatives used [except salt which I laced with sugar]. Quite palatable, depending on the aromatics used, and I didn't get sick.

IS JAPAN THE NEW REICH?

     As a watcher of universal trends that hint a a new world order, its clear that our globe is politically divided into three blocs. First, the Totalitarian countries of mainly Russia and China. Second, the Islamic bloc with the likes of IS, Boko Haram, Al Qaeda and others, not to mention seemingly benign Islamic states and countries. Third, little ol' us of the democratic world, with the US, Europe, Canada etc.Japan wants to be seen as part of the latter bloc, but it alarms me for one, although i've not read anything to suggest that they are anything but a loyal Western ally. Really?                                                 The Japanese govt. is pushing to change laws that gives them "fast access of their military into theatres of war". This is in the name of being able to support Western allies and peace-keeping. From info I've seen and read in the last 18 mths the Japanese military, navy and air force are recruiting like never before in modern times, and their training is fanatical. Well, excuse me but I thought the surrender of Germany and Japan obliged those countries to arm themselves as was sufficient for their immediate defense, not to a level to fit them out to engage other countries externally, nor where they were under any direct threat.                                                                                                                           Remember, following WWII, although Germany had been quashed, within 20 years it had re-built enough military might to almost conquer the rest of the world.So what is the real reason that Japan is so hell-bent on building up its armies and legislating for its unrestricted movement? This is a country that, 70 years ago at the armistice, had to undertake not to worship its Emperor as the One God, to not consider consequently that only the Japanese were truly human while all others were sub-human [hence the justification to torture and maltreat the sub-humans]. Am I being alarmist, or will we see a repeat of Chamberlain smooching up to Hitler?

     Insignificant snippet touts Idris Elba as the next 007. Idris suggests that he is not handsome enough....yeah sure! Here's one bloke that wouldn't mind your looks. Having seen quite a lot of Elba I would say he would lend some "dignified Cool" to the role. But its a way off as Daniel Craig is contracted for the next Bond, late 2015. But can't wait to see what Idris can do with the role.... but please writers, not tooo much action.

     Now we can't drink milk, au naturale. The Vic. govt. is reportedly planning to force milk producers to pasteurise milk and/or add a bitter taste to it following the death of a child recently, after his mother had given him 'bath milk".                                                                                                             Add this to compulsory seat-belts, helmets, plain-packaging etc. Last month W.A.'s major sponser of cultural and sporting events was the influence behind the cancellation of "Carmen", the light opera because, as culture buffs know, it is set in a ciggy factory. [The cancellation was overturned after a public fuss].

      Of  the human person Psalm 8 says: "thou hast made him little less than God, and dost crown him with glory and honour." In Psalm we are "fearfully and wonderfully made," and destined for eternal union with our creator/father/mother. But we stuff up by sin and our ignoring God.                                     To redeem us, God himself took on human flesh to show us the Way back, to show us just how much He loves His creatures, and to urge us to love our fellow beings. THAT WAS CHRISTMAS.... God became a human through Mary's assent and Joseph's forebearance, in the person of Jesus Josephson, the Christ [the annointed]. ANTI-MUSLIM OVER THE TOP

      I'm not a Labor Party fan but I am a labour man and believe in unions as well as free enterprize, in spite of the tone of some of my comments. BUT, the resignation today of John Robertson, Labor leader in NSW, is way over the top and unneccessary. Gone because he endorsed Man Monis' plea to see his kids while subject to an AVO several years ago. So Robertson's action somehow contributed to the Siege?  Give me a break!                                                                                                                        There has been negligible reaction to the siege in terms of reprisals, which can be expected from decent Australia, BUT, the clown owners of a Longreach cafe has banned Muslims. Well that should fix extremist activities! Dear clowns, there are tens of thousands of Aussies who happen to believe in God as Muslims, how can you justify denigrating them because of one of their number who was an extremist? I am against unrestricted migration of those of a culture largely incompatible with our long-standing ethos, but that is different from such peurile actions.                                                                   Then there's the Australian Defence League, [ nothing to do with our Defence Forces ]. . . arrests overnight for disorderly behaviour against Muslims. I think this mob can be disregarded as they are a ho=hum white supremisist mob.

RACISM BY MISTAKE.

The genuinely well-meaning Australians who would like to see us all drop our colour prejudices, see our fellow Australians as equal members of society regardless of colour and race, are being DUPED.! First, proposed changes to the Constitution, [ recognising Aboriginals as the first occupants ], will highlight separateness, not oneness and equality.                                                                                      Second: before the Sydney Siege was over we had this seemingly magnanimous campaign of #illridewithyou where non-Muslims would accompany Muslims on public transport. What this really says is: "Most of us are bigots who will attack you, but a few of us are good-hearted and we'll protect you."DUPED AGAIN. [ I won't go into the wilful exclusiveness of Muslims who , by wearing a burqa, say that my face is not open to you, we will never be one of you..... The hijab is not quite in this category].                                                                                                                                          Third: Abbott has given $5mil of our money to his own leftie conservatives to promote the constitutional changes; like we are not intelligent enough to make our own decisions.                            Fourth: A Queensland Professor has just lost his job because an IT server has exposed his private emails which contain racist comments. Personally I am diametrically opposed to his sentiments. However, the AG, George Brandis was quite correct when he said recently [and infamously], that Australians have a right to be bigotted. This has to be looked at logically, not hysterically. The fact is we do have a right to think what we like; Its also a fact that we don't have a right to voice all and any opinion that we hold in our heads. We have laws of libel , slander, mischief, human rights and anti-discrimination, which mitigate against saying whatever we like. Apart from statutes, there is the unwritten ethos of a society, and I would suggest that racial blindness and colour blindness should be aspired to. Then no-one will feel the need to protect or be protected due to their skin colour or race.     FOOTNOTE: This position as outlined is about RACE, not CULTURE. Ever since Whitlam's immigration minister, Al Grassby instituted multi-culturalism, we have had a heap of troubles. Australia should have stayed a MULTI-RACIAL society, not a multi-cultural one.                                All these "isms", well, ism I right or ism I wrong??

RAPE IN INDIA GIVEN THE O.K.

The good ol' Guardian [17.12.14] infers today that , becase of the inequlity of the sexes by population [too many males to females], men can't satisfy their urges, hence the reason for rapes.                           Hmmmm. So then, we have to concede that men are made without the ability of self-control! Hmm.. that must be true really, which is why we have birth control, prostitutes, vascectomy and various laws that pander to the male species... we just absolutely can't stay zipped up. Society is so sympathetic that males are so often paid more than our sex-slave fellow humans. All makes sense now.                   Oh, wait. Hang on! Why is there this discrepency : too many males and too few sheilas in India? Read the Guardian further for the ah-hah moment. Hah, its because girls there are a cultural problem and an economic one [dowrie, etc.]. Hence, and due to the availability of genetic embrionic testing, girl babies, so undesirable, are often aborted... parental inconvenience solved! The number of abortions in 12 months is estimated at 10 million! SHAME India. At least we Australians only throw 70,000 unborn babies in the bucket per year and for honorable reasons: like, the baby bedroom not ready yet, or career more important, or shit it was just a big night out, or the budget is a bit tight, or I'm not quite ready yet, or no my reasons are really valid, like there's no father around or I might have to give up drinking. So, you Indian women, get a grip: we men just can't help it.

The number of deaths is just about the exact number of Fellow Muslims and non-Muslims that ISIS have murdered. We are not blind over here. Your marauders are killing Shi'a muslims, Hasidis, Kurds and Christians. Your compatriots in Pakistan are mounting children's and womens heads on poles. Your mates in Nigeria kidnap children in teir 100's, kill the boys if they can't turn them into boy-soldiers, and turn the girls into concubines.                                                                                                                                           OH1 by the way, the Westerners have not dispossessed any of you lot from your lands or your oil wells. SYDNEY SIEGE; The Players

Orance Of Arabia must be turning in his grave.The place that Middle-Eastern Muslims has come to is abominable. Militants have murdered far,far more fellow Muslims than Westerners. There are millions of displaced Kurds, Shi'ites and Christians in Iraq and Turkey. I've tried to point out the widespread trauma resulting from today's siege.... imagine the trauma, the desperation, the fear that these millions are going through.                                                                                                                Consider this: two months ago around 800 police carried out anti-terror raids. Only one person, apparently, faced charges. Wow, didn't the coppers cop loads of flack for their heavy-handed approach. [ my personal view was - would it have been more acceptable if only 80 cops had been involved?]. No prize for guessing where the criticism came from. One Suspect!! Guess what... the chaos and trauma of today has been caused by ONE man. And here's another thing: we, the public, know not how many would-be terrorist acts have been averted by AFP and ASIO activities.Who ya gonna call when a terrorist is about? terrorist-busters!The cops do cop it, but who's putting their lives on the line? I do have one gripe though. In a situation like this, call in the SAS: the gendarmes have to be too circumspect and please too many people. The SAS will position a sniper with a Barrett rifle and solve the problem with a 50 cal round of lead.                                                                                   Really I expected Bowen to lead a flower power brigade along with Hanson-Brown,Wilke,Milne and Rhiannon into the Lindt cafe and cuddle the perp to death. It was Sarah HB who said of the 1200 drowned refugees [sorry, irregular displaced persons], over the Gillard -Rudd reign that; "It happens!" Its Wilke, the Fifth-Columnist, ex spy, who never stops bagging the anti-terrorist laws. Its Rhiannon who lervs to speak at Muslim rallies where the shouts are "Kill the Jews". Oh I forgot Cassandra Wilkinson, ex Labor advisor, who answered [FOX panel show], when confronted with the fact that we can't take every one of the 50 million refugees around the world said, "Why not?"             I maintained in a previous blog that ABC is biased and journos learn their bigotry at Uni. The first quote I saw in today's social media was from a Professor of journalism, Wendy Bacon, also a huge climate alarmist: "Clearing of cars in Sydney CBD gives you an idea of how pleasant a car-less city might be." Bravo! Second only that, to the ABC lampooning of the victims of MH370 over which even the decent Leigh Sales apologized.

SYDNEY SIEGE: Perspectives.

I am loathe to criticize one of the messianic faiths comprized of Islam, Judaism and Christianity. This would be akin to the KFC blaming MacDonald's for obesity. However, just as Christianity has gone off the rails in the past [13th century being the worst], Islam has apostatised its principles in recent years. Too many adherants of the "religion of peace" have turned into disciples of death and hatred. As much as we are assured that the vast majority of Muslims in OZ just want to get on with a peaceful life, far too many imams are sprouting a non-assimilation doctrine to Muslims living in Western countries like OZ. Its understandable that the reaction from this history of terror is just to say: fuck off out of our country!! Why not... when many want the burqa banned [and are condemned for this by the laftist sympathisers].... Muslims want the bikini banned. I'm not even touching here on the barbarity of ISIS or the Taliban, this is about Islam in OZ. Now comes the problem.... so many native-born Australians are Muslim. The only remedy that occurs to this concerned blogger is to modify immigration so that in the long term Australian Muslims will adopt more of an inclusive moderate peronna and collective mentality.                                                                                                 I would be expected here, by those who know me, to bag Bowen, Gillard, and the general Left, [oops, forgot.....there is no such thing, only the Evil Right], but too late for that. In any case Abbott's govt.'s policy, even though SUPERSCOTT has stopped the boats, is not to discriminate against migrants and refugees on grounds of race or religion. I would have agreed but matters are getting so out of hand that its time to debate this idea of discriminating migration; and not just because of today's siege.Not normally an alarmist, I noted one thing last year; its this. Ms Brockie [SBS] asked survivors of the Christmas Island boat tragedy how many relatives were permitted to come out here in the aftermath. There was an average of ten per person. Thus, at present we take 20,000 refugees plus about 100,000 legal immigrants, around 70% are reportedly Muslim . Doing the math, if such extended family is permitted residency then thats one million Muslims in no time in our country of 23mil. These folk give birth at a much higher rate than average so in a generation our country could be  approaching half the demographic. At elections, guess who they will vote for! BINGO. Sharia Law. [Now I;m alarmist, but am not a white supremicist].

SYDNEY SIEGE; Terrorist or Nutter?

Some media commentators and various authorities try to emphasise that the siege does not suggest that this is terrorism at work as the black flag is a benign statement about a religious belief. Tell that to those who have been affected.......                                                                                                                    The eight or ten people held hostage at the point of a gun;                                                                       The hundreds of their family, extended family, friends;                                                                           The thousands of city workers who were evacuated;                                                                                 The children and child care workers in the floor above the siege and their families;                                The cops who stand ready next to the building, their families;                                                               The media and cops who stand nearby and their families, not knowing if a bomb is going to flatten a city block or two.                                                                                                                          Lets not forget the 15million of the rest of us [excluding young demographs], who will be deeply affected by this; many of whom will live in fear of Muslims forever. Great work Mr. Perp, this will really gain Islam heaps of converts!                                                                                                           Not far-reaching? Imagine the frantic activities within govt., police depts., state and federal, transport assets, business etc. It will be like a ferret in a warren at the AFP, ASIO, ASIS, NSC, MI,and thats only in OZ. Remember 9/11? A plane has...wait, a second plane has...wait,...then there was a third and fourth.... thats what authorities here would have been trying frantically to find... co-ordinated attacks. Three thousand kms away in sleepy Perth, cops would be surrepticiously called out to concentrate on Lindt shops, embassies, other likely targets of a co-ordinated attack. ASIO offices would be a flurry of activity trying to scan through 100's of possible contacts that this perp knows then sending teams to watch possible suspects, which would be extended to tag anyone suspected of copy-catting. And now and in future there will be the actions that will have to be taklen to negate retaliatory action that will be on a long list of trouble-makers, white supremisists etc. And then, this will be duplicated in other western countries which may be targets of fundamentalists.                          SO: not terrorism? Give me a break. Even if the perp is a nutter on meths, the barn door of terror has been opened.

White-tailed spiders. [LEARN something every day segment]. Having heard that there is no anti-venine for their bite and that one can suffer necrosis and various ill-effects for life, I googled them. Studies have not found this to be true. How come Back Caviar's half-brother died several months after a White-tail bite?? ISIS is still going strong and doing its best to deal with the world's overpopulation problem. It has convinced most of the World's Leaders that, while their tools of trade are a little primitive, their principles are as culturally valid as any other philosophy coming, as they do, from a profound desire for peace based on the saintly life of Mohammed.
Finally: Wally Aly. The Wally did eventually take up the reins at the Project, except on those nights following a terrorist attack. He has become the Shepherd of the "Flock For Love, Peace & Joy", the Voice of Snowflakes & Pollyannas who block their ears whenever reality is discussed, fearing they will be triggered. He is their proxy voice. And he plays the guitar.
Oh, and the rag called "The Monthly"? I can't even recall it now. Apparently I have moved on intellectually to those fine disseminators of truth: The Guardian, Huff Post, Matilda, SMH, The Conversation and all such rags that do such a fine job of refuting such ideals as absolute truths, grace, beauty, tradition, sovereignty, Divinity and other quaint ideas that are anathema to 'progress'.

What Can a Farmer Do?

When one loses one's livelihood, farm or wages-job, there are alternatives to drastic action. Immediately one seeks alternative employ, and register for Social Security in the meantime. Not great but it keeps one alive and the payment [dole] for a married person with a few dependents is close to $1000 per week. Hundreds of thousands live on Social Security in OZ in the form of pension, allowance, dole etc. Then there are welfare Agencies which abound. If the trouble here is pride, the apparent disgrace of seeming failure, then this is a personal value and philosophy for which an individual is responsible. Surely there is no disgrace in having a crack but it doesn't come off: what one does afterward is where character shows. Apart from this, in failure, one has the option of mental health support, personal financial guidance etc. Surely one must decide: what is more important... my family or my pride?

Farmers vs Banks

  Following the online rage over the ANZ's foreclosure of the farm in Queensland, the bank has reversed its decision and put a moratorium of 12 mths. on foreclosures against drought affected farmers. Other banks have not yet come to the party.                                                                                   The particular case was a disgrace as the farmer had not defaulted on repayments. Surely there is a case here for a govt. or farmers' co-op to set up a bank, perhaps not-for-profit, that can support farmers in such times, rather than handing out drought-relief grants. Besides, where is the Farmers' Union [ whatever its called], that should be ready to step in and legally challenge such unconscionable behavior.                                                                                                                                 From another angle, there is another principle involved. Farming is a business which individuals choose to take on to support them and their family. Sure there is something of a life-style choice involved. But this is true of most self-employed endeavours. Is plumbing or a courier business or an independent medical clinic any less important to society? When one goes into business it behoves one to ensure that it comes with reasonable chances of being viable, especially when a large amount of capital has to be borrowed. Farmers in Winton and similar drought-prone areas have gone into a business in an area with extreme risks associated, whether the farm is an inheritence or was begun from scratch. I personally, in self-employment, have been adversely affected by govt. policy change, by the high dollar, by the low dollar, by a jump in interest rates, by credit squeezes, downturns in demand and so on; and have declared bankruptcy once. It is encumbant on every person in their own business to continually review their viability, make adjustments where necessary or plan for an equitable exit or change of occupation, the way many farmers have diversified and/or gone into value-added production.                                                                                                                                    It is so tragic that so many farmers take their own lives. Tragic for the families left to find a way to cope. There are alternatives. What about the many thousands laid off when a factory or plant or business goes under?

HERE WE GO;  The big holiday break is on for many tv shows, parliamentary shenannigans, and controversial news stories. Just released by AAP and other agencies is that chestnut...the re-hash of the way the Americans responded to the slaughter of their population on 9/11 viz TORTURE! And for local consumption the cases of Mamdouh Habib and David Hicks are again being served up. Mr Habib, your rendition to Egypt was sickly but this country acknowledged the wrong through compensation to you. Mr. Hicks, you're a victim too,,,,of your own stupidity...no sympathy from this blogger for taking up arms against your own country. YES, we and the US did not react to barbarity and terror with a pure and meek response; maybe we'll do better next time [sheeesh]. BUT today's gripe is about the way the news re-hash has been served up. The headline reads; "HICK'S ACCUSES COWARD BRANDIS." Well this dummy is naive enough to think that proper journalism ....journalism that reports rather than editorialises the headline.... would state "HICKS  ACCUSES BRANDIS AS A COWARD;" So the AAP has, apriori, established that the Attorney General has long been a coward. Should be interesting to see how the various papers treat this. Just another example of media misappropriation which gets my goat.

[ACA ch9]                            BRICKBAT OF THE DAY: New [?] 3 day diet of cold-pressed fruit & veg detox program. Eat nothing but sugar [fructose] for 3 days is good for you?? Get real. "Cold-pressed" is just a term for "put through a juicer". Detox? If your body is rife with toxins, go see a doctor. Lose weight and feel better by downing heaps of carbs, calories, sugar??...while denying the body proteins, calcium, essential fatty acids, various vitamins & minerals. But hey! the film stars are doing it. Channel9, this is just another advertorial for which some affiliated company paid you well. Dishonest!                                                                                                                                                                                            AWFUL thing that the missing boy in perth was found drowned in a nearby waterway. Beautiful that Perth is still not so large that all aren't saddened by this. Solution? None, unfortunately, as lakes, beaches etc. can't be fenced.Don't blame the grieving parents: which of us hasn't lost track of a child for a while. I was 5, lived 30metres from the Merri Creek when a 6yr old neighbour drowned in the creek.

The PM has pledged $A200 mil to the Climate Change Fund [international], whose purpose is to assist under-developed countries become greener.WHAT A CROCK! An oxymoron surely. Aren't under-developed countries those which are not overly industrialised? Aren't they largely agrarian, low carbon emitters. And who did we elect to decide how the $billions are spent? Who are they accountable to?
